One thing that you will have seen when looking for information on how to start your own online business is people playing on the fact you can work from home. That's everyone's dream right? To stagger from your bed to your home office and make cash.

But is it a worthy dream to have? Or once you get it do things seem a little bit sour?

The Truth About Working From Home

I've been working from a home office for nearly five years now (jeez that time has flown by!) And yesterday I made a decision to move my business into offices to up my productivity and even (God forbid) take on staff.

My current set up with working from home works very well. The penthouse I live in and on demand cash I can earn is proof of that. BUT after conversations with my friends over the weekend I realised something. I mess around too much.

The problem with working from home is often there are things to distract you. It might be your partner, the kids or in my case something as simple as Girls Aloud coming on the radio and your mind wandering off on one about what you'd give to steal Cheryl Cole from her husband. This leads to one thing - less money.

When people say "I work two hours a day from home" the majority of them are talking balls. Either they work more than that, or they don't earn the money they say they do.

When I say that I hand on heart mean it. You will have seen the proof of me earning thirty grand in a day and literally that business model of e-marketing allows me to work just a few hours a week let alone a day.

However, if I worked more than that I have no doubt I could earn ten times that amount in 24 hours because I'd be more productive and build bigger email lists more quickly, create more products, create more solid customer lists and much more.

Does this mean you need your own office to make a fortune online? Hell no. But you do need one thing. To ensure you are not distracted easily. And online it's easy to get distracted with emails and Facebook and news stories etc. Couple that with distractions at home and you're in a rut.

So do one thing for me. Next time you sit down to start or grow an online venture turn your phone off, palm off your kids onto your partner (they'll love me for that one!), turn off your emails and don't go anywhere near any sites other than the ones you need to make money. And just work solidly for an hour. Just one hour. And see how much you get done.  You will be pretty surprised.
If you did this, at least four times a week, you will be heading for success online. Too often people will work for five minutes, check an email, check facebook, text someone and so on then do another ten minutes before checking their email again...and they wonder why they don't get anywhere!

I have decided that for me personally I have worked from home for too long. I loved it. But now it's time for me to turn my current business into a multi million pound empire. And trust me. I'll do it.

Feedback On Virtual Property Tycoon

Earlier this year I reviewed a cool little product by Ed Walters that taught people a very clever way for turning information you don't spend a penny on into tens of thousands of pounds in record time.

I have received a number of emails like this about the course. There are a lot of new subscribers who have joined since February who will have missed what Ed's course is all about. So le t me give you a quick run down. And like Stan has done you can also get started with a genuinely solid business.

Whilst everyone else is selling high end courses that don't deliver, this guy is selling a course that does deliver but it's on the market way too low. Which quite frankly is refreshing and shows he really does want to help people but personally I think he is selling himself short.
 
I have reviewed a lot of products this year. And without question this is in the top five I have seen. Due to its price though I'd go as far as saying this is at the very top.
